How to beat idiots who think speeding cameras are evil

Speeding cameras get a bad press, right?

"Ooooh, they're a hidden tax."

"Oooh, they cause more crashes."

etc.

Well, if it was a tax, you can bet the Daily Mail would splash across it's front page the headline:
Government leaves loophole in tax collection process

And then go on to foam at the mouth and slag off the stupid government for allowing such an obvious way of avoiding tax: DON'T SPEED.

Anyway, I had an idea to shut the idiots up.
  • All fines go to a charity, not to the treasury.
  • The charity is chosen by the person who is fined.
That's it. What could be simpler? The speeding idiots can't complain the government's taxing them. The charities gain. The person being fined at least will feel the money's gone somewhere useful.
