How to solve the loans problem

All the parties are just as sleazy as each other, if you ask me (and since you're reading my blog, you are asking me). Labour's in the firing line about loans used to fund the party, but the Tory's are also being a little coy while they score their political points.

When you look into the figures, though, I think the solution is obvious. The loans were used mostly to fund the elections. Where does most of the election funding go? Advertising.

Solution? Ban all forms of advertising by political parties. The only outlet for political parties should be manifestos, Party Political Broadcasts, news, and face-to-face canvassing.

The sorry sight of party leaders unveiling their newest, thrilling billboard is a modern tragedy. That the privilege of running our country is reduced to agency-created slogans and propoganda is insulting to the electorate's intelligence.
